Kids are not the same everywhere. A shy kid should never be stigmatized, because things might change after some time. As kids grow up, they might shed some of their shy behaviors. Research has indicated that shyness is induced by the surrounding environment, so it is important for parents to provide them the right environment.
Often parents shun parenting advice, feeling that kids might evolve on their own after some time, to shed of their inhibitions. But this is not true. Kids can’t think for themselves. They are not independent thinkers up till a certain age. They depend on their parents to do most of the thinking for them.
Shy kids are misunderstood. Here, instead of giving the kids the advice, the situation demands more of some parenting advice. By being an example to follow for their kids, parents can make their kids look up to them to embrace social behaviors. Invariably, the way parents act, will be the way kids act.
Firstly, parents need to socialize themselves to get their kids to do that. Parents should try to get their kids to make phone calls to their friends. Even attending phone calls should be made an activity. Some households make it mandatory that all phone calls should be received by the kids. Kids will automatically develop conversational skills by doing this.
Parents should never hurt the self-esteem of a shy kid in public. By doing so, it creates a lasting impression on the kid’s psyche. Often, behaviors in adulthood are carryovers of self-perceptions developed in childhood. It is almost like saying how an elephant that has been chained from its birth, never makes the mistake of breaking free from its shackles even when it becomes big and strong.
All things are based on mindsets. Parents ought to work on the mindsets of shy kids. However, parents shouldn’t make the mistake of being too liberal on shy kids. They might develop cocoons, from where it will be difficult to snatch them. Always reward a shy kid for a good social act. This will spur the kid to be more social, and conversational.

Natural medicine is also called naturopathy or nature cure. It is a form of alternative health medicine. Using naturally prepared health medicine products, it cures bodily ailments. Imbibing more of a holistic principle, rather than a short term reactive one, natural medicine is a slow healer. No allopathic medicines are used in natural medicine or naturopathy.
In India, naturopathy is bid in consumption and conviction. People prefer naturally formulated health medicines to chemically prepared ones. This is because India was an agrarian economy, and has a strong knowledge base in natural herbs and plants.
Nature healing has been around for centuries, although it might have come into the limelight again now. Ancient Indian manuscripts deal extensively with natural health medicine.
Nature force is a blend of different planes, the spiritual plane, the mental plane, and the bodily plane. Naturopathy health medicine is directed to deal with all these planes, and hence it is considered to enhance the vital force of the body.
Unlike mainstream treatment approaches that directly attack the situation, natural health medicine attacks the root of the health problem. This means that a combination of factors is responsible for any health condition. Lifestyle issues, mental health, and habits all come under the scanner of natural health medicine.
Natural medicine subcategorizes into complementary medicine, traditional medicine and alternative medicine. Natural health medicines are in great demand in developed countries. Natural health medicines are known to be efficient, safe, and with absolutely no side effects.
Increasing herbal health medicine formulations, prompted the World Health Organization (WHO) to come out with an assessment framework in 1991. Natural medicines are allowed to be used in developed countries if there is documented evidence on its accuracy and efficacy. Also, the kind of plants used in natural health medicine is also taken into consideration. Plants should have grown in a natural environment free from pesticides and fertilizers. WHO stipulates lots of documented evidence and research-based empirical assessments on the safety of natural health medicines.
If health medicine manufacturers comply with these conditions, they get an entry into the developed countries, where they can market natural health medicine products.

Most parents would never dream of supplying their teenagers with drugs, but it happens. Often, parents become suppliers without even realizing it. Don’t let yourself have a false sense of security. If you think your teen shows signs of an addiction, consider whether you may be contributing to the problem before your children wind up in drug abuse treatment centers.
Many people keep alcohol on hand. Maybe Dad likes to grab a cold beer after a day of work or when the game comes on the TV. Maybe Mom likes to cook with wine. Perhaps you have a wet bar you keep stocked with your favorite alcoholic bases and mixes. Do you really monitor this alcohol?
Even if you mark lines on the bottles to gauge the amount of fluid left in a bottle after you use it, teenagers may sneak drinks. After all, do you really know how many bottles you have on hand? Do you really remember where you made the last mark? What about the beer in the fridge? Have you kept tabs on how many you drank during the game?
Some people lock the alcohol in a cabinet, but teenagers often know where their parents keep the key. If the lock has a combination, your teenagers may know what it is. And, don’t think that’s the only place your teen may look for drugs.
Your medicine cabinet or the hallway closet may be just as much of a drug source as your wet bar. Pharming is a popular method of drug use among teenagers. It is a process through which teens try to get high by taking prescription-strength medication collected from their homes. Pharming is one of the most dangerous methods of drug use because the medications can interact or cause harmful side effects.
As a parent, take the time to consider whether you may be your teen’s drug supplier.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) is also called Obamacare. It was signed by U.S President Barack Obama in 2010. Obamacare will make it mandatory for all employers to pay for health benefits of all those who are employed with them. If the employers don’t do this, more taxes will be piled up on them. So no medical benefits to employees, means higher taxes for employers, and a lesser hiring rate.
Obamacare stipulates that the government will run the healthcare system in the United States of America. Medical benefits will be distributed equally. Medical healthcare choices will now be made for you not by your insurance provider, but by the folks in the government.
Obamacare wants all individuals to hold an individual insurance policy. Nobody should say “I do not want insurance”. Even if they do, they end up paying more takes.
So what are the benefits of Obamacare? Analysts believe that by marginalizing private insurance companies, the government will stop the doctor-insurance company clandestine nexus. Also, medical healthcare will be less-priced. You don’t have to pay a lot of money as premium to the insurance company. Too much insurance payment is ruining America. People spend their lives paying a lot of insurance money. Obamacare wants to end this forever.
Now coming to the limitations on Obamacare; Obamacare is making medical insurance coverage mandatory for individuals. In a democratic country, taking an insurance policy and not taking one is a matter of choice, and not compulsion. Sometimes, folks do not take individual insurance. This does not mean they get heavily taxed!
President Obama is now looking for funds for this healthcare administration overhaul. He is planning to tax the wealthy to drive in money. Again, this is not the right thing to do in democratic America. Don’t use others food, for another’s fodder, cry government critics.
The American Medical Association has condemned the Obamacare policy. A government-supported insurance plan is something that they don’t want to happen, and at any cost. Policies like Obamacare have strayed from America’s central democratic theme” the right to life, liberty, happiness, and choice.

Anyone who is on drugs knows that it can be very difficult to stop using them. Without Tennessee drug treatment or similar programs, many people go through a hard time weaning themselves off the substance. A person who wants to stop taking drugs needs to first realize she has a problem. Only then can she work toward the path to recovery.
When trying to recover from a drug addiction, a person can experience many setbacks. It takes total commitment from the individual to get healthy again. If that person is not willing to try hard, then he will most likely fail. However, just because you have some setbacks doesn’t mean you can’t try again or keep on going.
If someone or something requires you to seek drug treatment, you may have a harder time, because you may still be in denial. While you go to rehab, you might not succeed unless you realize that you have a problem. Drug addicts forced to get help usually fall back into the same patterns once they are out of drug treatment facilities.
In order to get sober, you will need to go through the withdrawal process. This is when your body will have to get rid of the harmful toxins inside it. During this time, you may experience extreme physical changes, as well as emotional ones. Sometimes the withdrawal phase is the hardest one to get past. However, nothing lasts forever. Before you know it, you will pass a few days—the hardest ones.
After the drugs are out of your body, you can begin your life of sober living. This means making the right choices for yourself. These should not involve drugs or alcohol. Life is full of obstacles, and an addiction is just one hurdle you will need to jump over. Reaching the other side is worth it.

E-mamta is a novel initiative in India to track a mother’s health during her pregnancy. By doing so, infant mortality rates are controlled. Child health is very dependent on the health of the mother. Realizing this, the Gujarat government implemented the E-mamta initiative. Gujarat is a progressive state in India.
Looking after the mother during pregnancy is an underestimated aspect. When the new-born child loses the mother, it is like losing a primary custodian of child health. A women’s death during pregnancy is not just a personal loss, but also a national loss. Dying during pregnancy should be avoided. Technology has now been advanced to stop this.
Research has suggested that by increasing the access to healthcare, women can have better healthcare during pregnancy. E-mamta established a comprehensive health database of all members of a family. It covers all areas, including urban, rural, and sub-urban areas. It is apparent, that even slums are covered by e-mamta. Slums are places with the highest mother-child mortality rates. Child and mother health is always very low in the slums.
Families are provided with login Ids, to access the database. The database contains certain norms that have to be complied with. Mothers are alerted about this when they access the database. Even SMS alerts are configured by E-mamta to be delivered to families that have relocated. National information centre officials and other beneficiaries of the system are education on how to use the system through workshops.
E-mamta is a comprehensive mother-child health tracking system. Through this, regular health checkups of pregnant women can be done. Child health is better, through better delivery of immunization and vaccine programmes. E-mamta also assists in family planning.
Maternity mortality rates and infant mortality rates are low due to this system. Better supply of vaccines for child health and mother health can be effected due to the presence of a tracking system. The government can benefit from such a system immensely. By getting a database analytics system in place, better dispensation of child health and maternity health initiatives can be undertaken. Through e-mamta, realistic targets can be set, and the same achieved.

Pets can be trained to take care of a family member or anyone affected with disabilities. Dogs are the champion choice for such an effort. This is because dogs can be trained easily, and dogs also have a degree of intelligence when it comes to navigation and special coordination.
You can always take a trained dog from a professional dog training academy. These academies train dogs to help people with disabilities move around. Blind people take this service the most. Even before getting the dog to do the job for a disabled person, a lot of motivating talk needs to be done to the person who is getting helped.
Initially any person with an eyesight disability or disabilities can be skeptical about taking the services of the dog. They might not trust the dog to the extent they trust their other senses. It can also feel odd for the person to get navigated by a dog. They might feel much better being navigated by human beings. All these thoughts might creep into people with eyesight disabilities, even before they are given the choice to be navigated around by a well-trained dog.
Make the person who is taking this option feel convinced about the approach. Before starting off, do a trial run. Get the person to hold the leash tightly. Set the pace of the dog to be in sync with the pace of the person. Dogs initially will not understand the pace of the person, and might start walking fast. But intelligent creatures as they are; they can easily get accustomed to the pace of the person who is holding the leash.
Let the dog navigate the person through a series of rehearsed routes. This will make the person and the dog to be walk in close co-ordination and get themselves familiarized. On new paths, it becomes difficult for the person to adjust to the signaling instructions of the dog that does so by using its inertia.

Teen and child health experts feel that cough medicine abuse is on the rise everywhere in the world. Teenagers looking for a dissociative high use cough medicines as a cheap alternative. A cough suppressant compound in cough medicines, namely Dextromethorphan (DXM), is the one teenagers’are looking for. Dextromethorphan is also used in analgesic medication. Even some psychiatric and psychological medications use Dextromethorphan.
It is used recreationally by thousands of teenagers around the world. To create a psychoactive drug that induces alternative sensory experiences, this compound is more than a medicine for teenagers; it’s the perfect substance for cheap hallucinations.
FDA is now going all out in doing something about this. It has sought to call it a controlled compound. By doing so, its production, and dispensation will be limited. Teen health has taken a severe beating in some under-developed and developed countries due to this compound. Hospitals reported thousands of patients over a four year period, being admitted to hospital due to an emergency situation.
A very potent hallucinogenic effect that Dextromethorphan produces is dissociation of the mind from the body. Everything depends on the dosage. Mild dosages produce visual distortions, and high dosages produce a feeling of complete dissociation from the body.
Dextromethorphan products used as medication might also contain acetaminophen. When acetaminophen is taken in large dosages, it damages the liver. Teen and child health are at serious risk with these kind of compounds available openly over-the-counter. FSA has to bring a regulatory mechanism to check its use, and distribution.
Parents can figure out if their teenager child is using dextromethorphan abusively. The common indications of this are empty medicine bottles. You might find, in fact, a lot of empty medicine bottles in your teenager child’s room. Regular abuse shows up on the appearance of teenagers. Pale skin, different physical appearance, lack of sleep is some of the other indications.
Some parenting advice for this would be to keep medicines locked away. Take the teenager to a doctor as soon as possible. Talking to the teenager and making him/her understand what the dangers are is the best thing to do.

Disability insurance benefits saw lot of improvements for people with disabilities after the social security amendments. Monthly payments were given to people with disabilities. This included former workers affected with disabilities, and disabled children. Revisions to the social security act of 1956 saw quite many re-drafts of the legislative formulation. Each draft was passed in the senate, and brought in more benefits for people with disabilities.
Evaluation of compensation benefits for people with disabilities was a burning issue. This issue was fixed in 1984, when the social security act quantified the evaluation criteria for people with disabilities to receive compensation benefits.
Reports suggest that half-a-hundred million America citizens are set to receive such disabilities compensation.
Retired people who don’t have any means of income, and who are too old to effectively discharge their duties can receive such disabilities compensation. Survivors of man-made or natural hazards are also eligible to receive such pensions. Even those people, whose means of generating income has been destroyed by hazards, can become eligible, provided they show proof of losses, and income generation disabilities.
Social security disability insurance will be applicable for all such people with bodily disabilities, or disabilities caused by external events that were not in the control of such people. If you are looking for disabilities insurance, then consulting a social security disabilities insurance lawyer can help you understand how to go about it.
The lawyer will determine the extent of the disability, and also compute a financial compensation figure. This will give you more perspective to how compensation is computed. The lawyer will have a list of disabilities that will figure on the social security disabilities insurance benefit list. Necessary documents will have to be submitted to the lawyer who will then proceed to process your candidature for the disabilities benefits.
If the application is rejected, the claimant can still use the lawyer to take the claims at various levels. This includes a special case hearing by the district courts.

Thousands of patients worldwide are affected by Parkinson’s. Parkinson’s disease is the slow-death of the central nervous system. Sufferers experience decreased mind-body control. Due to regeneration of motor neurons, Parkinson patients are literally immobile despite being mobile.
Parkinson’s disease is a movement disorder. Physical movements are slow. A lot of abnormal sitting and standing positions characterize patients. Due to muscle rigidity, patients frequently have tremor-like responses.
Parkinson’s disease is frequently dismissed as a natural progression of age. Delaying immediate help from doctors, patients further the condition upon themselves. One of common symptoms of Parkinson’s disease is the tremor. This is the chief and most visible symptom. Tremor happens in the hands. A periodic and frequent to-and-fro motion of the thumb and forefinger happens. Tremor not just happens in the hands, but even the jaws as well. Jaw-twitching happens, which again is a sign of Parkinson’s. All symptoms happen when the sufferer is at rest. The pill rolling or tremor symptom happens all the time.
Disabilities in speech and coordination are a symptom of advanced Parkinson’s disease. Due to lack of breath control, and inefficient motor capabilities, speech becomes difficult for patients. Word-repeating, slow pace of speech and forgetfulness are some of the speech impairment conditions.
A new finding by Russian scientists, suggest a potential health medicine for Parkinson’s disease. The Vorozhtsov Institute of Organic Chemistry has tested a compound on animals that is said to have the potential to remove all symptoms of Parkinson’s.
Researchers at the Columbia University Medical Center have found a molecular chain that is responsible for Parkinson’s disease. The molecular chain comprises proteins. A build of this pathway leads co-territorial neurons to produce toxic proteins. Toxic proteins eventually kill the brain cells.
This research is path breaking, because current treatments focus only on reducing the symptoms. There is no treatment that attends to the prevention of toxic protein synthesis in the brain. Drug research institutes indicate that health medicine will benefit a lot from this research. It will change the way drugs are developed in the future, indicating a change in fortunes for Parkinson’s drug discovery initiatives.
